Common questions
Straightforward answers about public adjusting and working with NC Claims Pro. Prefer to talk? Call (910) 372-2500.
What is a public adjuster?
A public adjuster is a licensed professional who represents the policyholder — not the insurance company — in preparing, filing, and negotiating an insurance claim for property loss.
Who do you represent?
We represent you, the policyholder. Insurance carriers have their own adjusters. Our job is to advocate for a fair outcome based on your policy and the covered loss.
Do you charge upfront fees?
No upfront costs. If we don’t get you paid, we don’t get paid. Our compensation is tied to the recovery we help secure.
What kinds of claims do you handle?
Fire, water, storm/wind/hail, mold, roof, and business/commercial losses across North Carolina.
Where do you work?
We are based in Clayton and serve Clayton, Garner, Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Fayetteville, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Coastal North Carolina, plus surrounding communities statewide.
When should I contact you?
As soon as practical after a loss — or if you already have a claim open and feel unsure about the carrier’s estimate or process. Earlier involvement often helps with documentation.
